The contrast is funny immediately, that's one reason. A thick Brooklyn accent coming out of an elf, an elf who's 6 feet tall, is ingredients for comedy; I imagine her voice ordering kids to sit on Santa's lap: "Come on we ain't got all day here." And besides, when she says "you got a cute smile", I pictured myself in line wearing a christmas sweater with a trench coat dropped over my arm. Or is that too self insert-y? 😉
