My last try
🕑 Added 2024-10-02 03:22:07 +0000 UTCI apologize for my long absence. I was apathetic, I started critically evaluating my projects, comparing them with others and fell into despondency. There are so many cool projects around and all of them are better than mine, and I'm talentless and lazy. Life is painful. And then I played Dark Souls 3 and then 1, where I learned not to give up.
I analyzed my mistakes and old projects, realized what was the problem and I think I came to a stable state in which I am ready to try again and again. Now I'm ready to rebuild the asset and hopefully I won't have to write depressing posts like before. Thanks for putting up with them.
I've noticed that I like starting new projects and don't like finishing them. It's because I always have a lot of ideas and always when I realize them they turn out to be worse than in my head. Partly because I rush them, partly because I change them to please others, partly because the ideal is unattainable. I understand how it works on an intellectual level, but not on a metal level and it demotivates me every time.
That's why I thought about the comic book format, that I tried it and realized it wasn't my thing. Comics are nice to make, but they lack interactivity and at least some direction, and I also like it when there is more dialog than the comic book format allows. However, this experience was not useless, because while working on comics I finally mastered Photoshop, and I don't plan to give them up completely, maybe I'll release a couple of pictures or comics.
Okay, there's too much text in this post again. In general, I have an idea to work in a format like Dumb Koala Games or Chilas Art, i.e. instead of trying to make one big project to make many small and original ones. It's not financially beneficial, because big projects attract more people and people who want a sequel are more likely to sign up and often leave when there is no sequel, but this format will allow me to better realize myself creatively.
Before I try to change formats, though, I want to make sure that I can't control the format with big projects. And in order to do that. I made a new visual novel, in which I tried my best. It's not perfect and maybe not everyone will like it, but I tried to fix everything that both subscribers and experts complained to me about. There are a lot of choices (some for wagering, some lead to various small scenes, some have long-lasting consequences), the music is corrected and now sounds better (I hope), the characters are made by me by hand and in the same style (and this time without loli for which can be banned), the plot is and I hope to hook you, the setting allows you to insert metacommentaries and in general I fixed everything that I could fix, so that this project was interesting to play and develop in the future.
And this is my last attempt to make a BIG project. If you do not like it and it will not attract new subscribers, I will not give up, but just change plans and will try again and again, just in a different format.

They say that "comparison is the thief of joy." I'm not going to say I don't do that, but it doesn't help when we DO do it. Good to see that you really sat down and thought about everything. You have fans, otherwise we wouldn't be here... Looking forward to your future products!
