The jungle had food, water, and ample shelter, while the concrete of the city offered little solace. Chel had followed her two friends back to the west, perhaps naively so, and had been even more gullible in allowing herself to get distracted during their travels. Alone, with no money, she found herself having to fall back onto her old, golden city ways.Remarkably, although the customer base certainly didn't look the same, they seemed to want roughly the same things as back home.

Having re-watched the movie rather recently, I actually realized she sort of implies she's been down this line of work before in terms of her profession - which of course means she fits right in with our lady lineup :)
