Liara's finger just so happened to slip, gently brushing against the ship-wide public broadcast button on the holopanel as she spoke the words, like part of her brain had willed the digit to move on its own. Her heart rate increased, and she felt her cheeks flush as she sat back down in the chair, with footsteps already echoing in the corrodors outside the pneumatically sealed door to her office.
Whoever stepped through first didn't really matter. Either way, Christmas was coming early.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support and for all of your kind words. Work continues as always, and it's a pretty even race for the Christmas Special so far, so we'll see who comes out on top. The snow and cold is ostensibly about to be hit by a small heat wave here, so I'm bracing, hoping it pushes through - you'd be surprised how much brighter it is up here with the snow reflecting what precious light we get during the day, and if there's one downside to winter it's when it gets drab, wet and dark. Hope you're doing alright out there folks, all things considered.
