Honestly, no. When I came up with the concept of the global spell, I started to brainstorm what that would be. Adding color seemed like it would be a clear way of showing things had changed. I think I decided at the end of Chapter 2 or the beginning of Chapter 3.

2 questions come to mind 1. did you always intend for the series to go color from the start and 2. Were Kai’s dad living separately from them as precaution for situation like this ( if going be explained later you can say so)?
