The chibi Abby isn't really the mom. She's closer to a child mentally. She heard Kelly wanted to transform into a foxgirl, so she gave an answer, not thinking of the consequences.

Think of human as its own bloodline. There are a lot of rules for each bloodline, so I'll probably only mention them when they become relevant. And yes, witches are humans. In this case, Kai is only a human with fox ears and a tail, not a kitsune.
