With my initial plan, this part didn't last this long, but I kept on wanting to add more stuff. But we're finally moving forward in the next update.

Just to clarify a few things: Bloodlines and magic power are two different things, but you have the right idea. Abigail discarded Scarlet because she thought she wouldn't be able to keep up with her. Scarlet's brother died before the formation of the wizards; Scarlet was one of the founding members of the wizards because her brother died.

Not romantically. Kai's dad feels greatly indebted to Abigail; Abigail feels Kai's dad is useful. Their relationship isn't equal, so it could never be a partnership. They've also lived for hundreds / thousands of years; they don't have the same sensibilities about romance that we do now.

So that that likley means she discarded Scarlet due to an impurity in her bloodline, and if the Wizards were hunting Witches, they may have been the ones responcible for the brother's death.
