1. Their genders will never be permanent. They'll always be able to go back and forth as long as they have magic. Reality might change, but they can always change back. 2. The father remembering has no effect on the rules, except he can always remember the original reality. Reality changes to the easiest possible route (which in this case, changing the father). I guess if they forced a spell to make them the same gender, Kai would have been born as a surrogate or something like that.

I have two questions. 1.- How long would it take for the sex changes in the parents to become permanent if they could? And 2.- If the parents were changed by Magic to be of the same sex would reality fix itself to change the sex of one? I'm sure that these must have been answered before but i was wondering if with the father being able to remember reality changes if any of this would have distinct rules

This is just me spitballing an idea but couldn’t Kai’s compartmented personalities be trained to be a sort of internal memory tether? That is when the surface personality is effected by a reality shift the others can remember and eventually restore his memory?

Magic users have a certain protection against forgetting magic exists, though they will still forget if they don't cast spells for a while.

Yes, Abigail still remembers. She is powerful and has her ways (I'll go into it later on).

Got to ask but does that mean even with the reality re-write Abigail still remembers that she(he) is a witch? Since I was under the impression that the wizards well enchanters now kept their witch prisoners in a state where they don’t remember that they can use magic.

Wait Xtra, how does Kai now know where his mom (or dad in this reality) even though he was teleported to his dad’s (or mom’s) place while he was still unconscious? Does it have to do with Kai already forgetting his original reality and subconsciously adapting to this one?
