How it's progressing is interesting wonder if it'll work just as effectively if he puts on clothes that are tailored to a centaur if it works like I am thinking then he could use the centaur form for rapid movement across the land when he wants to travel

A bit. He's trying to figure out the details. But basically, it slows down the longer he wears the outfit. It also slows down when he puts on a new outfit (until he completely transforms, then it speeds up for a bit before slowing down). However, it will also speed up if he wears more clothing of the person he wants to transform into. TLDR: The best way to level it up is to transform into a bunch of different people wearing as much clothing as possible of that person.
