If you want to do that then go for it. Personally i'd rather have more canon episodes than juggling both. I just personally get a little bored rewatching the filler arc even though I love individual filler episodes in FT. But as people have pointed out, it is good to watch for your own sake on a first watch. So either way you should probably watch it by yourself, if you want to upload it on patreon I don't see why not. Personally I think the filler arc creates a bit of an awkward pacing compared to if it wasn't there. However, in terms of impact on main story, it does have some fairly relevant impact / development on several characters. Though, it will make sense how they got there without watching the arc too. But it fills out the details.

I think this filler arc is the best filler in anime idk. It's enjoyable, emotional, expands on characters and backstories.

I dont recall if this particular arc has any major important canon impact but Fairy Tail has a solid record of bringing back characters from their filler arcs at some point in time. Comments will definitely fill in any gaps for you either way

Yeah that's like the main thing I'm conflicted about it's those details that are canon if they're not super important I don't mind just glossing over it someone will probably end up explaining it in the comments

I say as long as it isnt too complicated for you then go for it! Even though this isnt one of Fairy Tails better filler arcs (my own personal opinion) , for a first time viewer its good to get the full experience. Plus animes have a tendency to drop details in filler arcs that make an appearance in the canon arcs later on
