I personally feel like this arc makes more sense in the abridged version (the "detective" arc).

Do you remember the guy back in, I want to say episode 2 that literally sees Jesus. And Jesus tells him to "Kill them all". That's the bible quoting serial killer. They foreshadow their new lore pieces. :D Edit: Nvm. You caught on. And im sure people on youtube already mentioned it too...
