10 months late but to clarify one thing, while Roswaal drones on and on about how he is responsible for the destruction of the Oni villiage, he really had nothing to do with it. He knew about it because of the Gospel/Tome of Wisdom and didn't prevent it, that's all, that's what he is talking about when saying he is responsible, that he could have prevented it but didn't, not that he actually caused it himself. He let it happen and then swooped in to save Ram and Rem as they could be useful to him.
