Its a gag of the series almost every caracter you know has this... dont worri im not spoilling anything to you the anime is not far from manga anyway XD but look at the names we know already you get Po Tato, Skel Etal, Perv Asshat, Annerose Nichtsehen (nicht sehen = not seeing), Immatry Nottolose (imma try not to lose ), Mundane Mann, and others. But Cid's name, "Kage no Cid" (Cid of the shadows or something like that) is also kind of in this category. The author confirmed this in an interview π
