I know what you mean (about what's coming up). And I 100% agree even without that in terms of powering through. It's the explanation of how Erza even knows where to punch / kick that is lacking. And neither the show nor the manga bothered explaining beyond "bcz she's Erza". I do enjoy the pain-dar explanation for it though. Just wish it was in the show / manga.

IMO, we get (sort of) an explanation on how/why Erza may have powered through the Kyoka fight, but it doesn't come until the final season, so we can't talk about it for a while. On another note, I like that pain-dar explanation a lot, I hadn't heard that one before, and it does make sense.

PS...after watching the after credit scene originally, I immediately went on amazon, and bought the next two manga volumes, because the final animated season was still months away, and there was no WAY I could wait to find out what happened next. :)

I do agree I was completely lost on how she was actually fighting Kyoka without any senses wish they actually explained it even with the because its Erza joke

I kind of hate this fight too tbh lol. I've had it explained to me before as that pain is in fact not the same sense as touch and one of the core senses. It's a seperate sense. Since Kyoka did not remove the sense of pain, but instead enhanced it. Erza was essentially able to make a pain-dar. A radar based on the pain that she felt from the wind Kyoka's movements were making. Explained like that I love it. But, the show never explains it like that. Or explains it at all really. Erza having high pain tolerance is completly fair though. Happy's "bcz she is Erza" is a joke. But it's also the only weak explanation we get. And it lessens the overall writing quality of the show, and is one of those moments haters of the show like to use to diss it. Erza's my favorite character. But wish they didn't explain it like that. However, that's not rly my main reason for disliking this fight. My main reason for disliking this fight is a decision the anime adaptation made, but ill tell you more about that later in the arc lol.
