You have every right to hate Minerva, for real. But...just about every reoccurring character gets a backstory in FT, including Minerva. That's all I will say on that topic. As far as Sylth Labyrinth goes, it's a theme of the show that our characters get more powerful the stronger the enemy is, and since these three numbskulls aren't super powerful, they don't go all out. It is a bit frustrating, I will admit.
