You can hate Minerva all you want LMAO. I put the blame squarely on that bastard Gemma's head, though. The two flashbacks we saw were just two, of what was probably a horrible, traumatic upbringing. I also think that because he was around until just a while back, she didn't have an opportunity to think for herself, or escape him until Sting took him down. There is NO excuse for her actions, especially in the GMG, but... Minerva and Ultear are almost the same to me. Both women had horrible childhoods, were brainwashed, and sent down the very wrong path. One by Zeref/Hades, and the other by her own father. Neither started evil, and neither truly wanted to be evil, but neither thought they had any other choice. Minerva realizing at the end that even after everything she had done, Sting, and Rogue STILL came for her? That was her moment of clarity. Friends meant nothing to her father, shit, being a decent person meant nothing to him. Only how strong (physically) a person was counted. She never imagined anyone could actually care for her, because up until now, no one had. On that note, welcome to the second third of the arc, and the realization FACE isn't gone...I'm going to say it right now, you will NEVER guess the final outcome. Your brain is going to go *poof* when it is all revealed LMAO.

I really like Minerva by the end of the show, but I think at this point of the show I still hated her. Took me a while to forget all the shit she did.
