They didnt really mention it in the last Season in much Detail when Shion gained her Unique Skill Cook after Rimuru's Harvest Festival. This is a pretty mean Skill that she used to torture Razen, Reyhiem and King Edmaris One of the two Subskills of Unique Skill Cook is Certain Outcome: A heinous ability that directly alters the laws of the world, similar to an Ultimate Skill. It allows the user to freely change the result of an action or the state of an object into their desired outcome, no matter how improbable. It is possible to permanently alter the status of a living being or object to make an unnatural state their natural state, which makes any form of healing useless. The only way to counter this is to also be able to manipulate the laws of the world such as via Law Manipulation or an Ultimate Skill and then manage to overcome the user's will with their own will. Btw, if you want i can post more Information under past Reactions, there is quite a lot of information that as always never made it into the Anime (as its often with LN based storys getting a Anime) but only if your interested ^^

The potion actually doesn't work on what Shion did to them, as Diablolo said before regular healing magic and stuff like that is helpless to restore people that Shion did in. Diabolo had to first personally undo the curse Shion put on them for the potion to work. Diabolo was just putting on a show, so yeah it was just purely advertisement, and basically false advertisement at that.
