Idk for sure, but think Clovis might be Euphemia and Cornelia's half-sibling as well as Lelouch. Clovis having one mom, Euphy and Cornelia a different one, and Lelouch yet a different one again. Also if I remember correctly the middle-name mirrored the empress who gave birth to them. So Nunnaly and Lelouch vi Britannia. Euphemia and Cornelia li Brittania and Clovis and Lila la Brittania. All 3 different Empresses as mothers.

It makes sense they assume Orange is a traitor and his mind wasn't messed with. They have no reason to believe in "mystical" elements. And they might have tested for drugs idk. + As Lelouch said, there is no trust with eachother in goverments run like the Brittanian Empire in this show.

Think it's implied the girl doesn't just stand there making marks all day. Just does that once a day then lives her life again. Too see how long she will follow the instructions. Slightly less messed up, but still messed up.
