Its not supposed to be under the usual term Swastika as we know it, but a Kanji known as Manji as the original Kanji is actually a part of the word bankai (卍解 Which translates to Manji Kai or in english Bankai)

As the guard of Ichigos sword is a swastika, it makes no sense that he says that it resembles in the anime. I don't know why they changed it in the anime, maybe because of nazi germany.
