i just realized that Eren and Armin were both lying to eachother. Eren WAS doing it for his friends, and Armin knows he's not going to hell, but he was taking accountability to make Eren feel better about dying.

Ya eran tried to change the future like with that one kid he crushed he saw that he saved that kid so he tried to walk away but at the end he ended up saving the did no matter what he did he couldn’t change what was going to happen
