That guy at the end was laenor with his hiar cut. Yah they didn't really kill Laenor Velaryon at the end they switched him out with the random guy damoned killed and laenor gets to run away with his boyfriend. It was kinda a win win.

i dont want to give away an obvious detail but without it your opinions on characters will stay the same,but you should examine the last scene again,they burnt Ser Laenors corpse why? soo people couldnt tell it was his or not then the boat scene u see Qarl (Laenor's lover) fleeing in the row boat with someone else,and also why would daemon tell Qarl to make sure a witness was present? probably soo they wouldnt question the corpse
