But she let her fear get the better of her before. That and, frankly, there's not too much you can do to pull a John Wick on a literal building/infinitely expanding flesh demon. Denji (and maybe Aki) were the only ones who could feasibly kill that devil.

Kobeni has always been plenty capable. When Himeno assessed her in episode 6 she basically said that she had a bad temperament for the job but that she was strong and had the moves.
