Lol I still don't want to spoil anything but you should consider Gilgamesh and Archer as polar opposite when it comes to their origin. You might figure it out when you watch the next few episodes of Fate/Stay Night and a couple more familiar faces pop up. Idk, this anime isn't confusing for me personally but there is a lot to remember

i'm still shocked they think the archers from the two shows are the same or something when one is blonde and the other is white haired with darker skin

Another thing is regarding the transfer of the command spells when the father was dying of being shot he wrote a message in blood for kirei which was jn 24 which is a verse from the Bible in the book of John which is what kirei recited into transfer the command spells onto himself

Basically, if you sacrifice 6 servants both the master & servant can get a wish. By sacrificing all 7 servants the greater grail is activated opening a path to the root.

Lol How does johnny remember fate stay night so well that he was able to connect the voice on the phone with Rin when you guys watched it like 1 and half months ago but not what happend in the previous episode. Also the reason kayneth killed the father of the church is to prevent other masters from claiming command seals for helping out in defeating caster because that was the reward
