Yeah i see that. A story can be good but adapting into an animated film theres gonna be some hurdles to get the pacing right

The Blu-ray version of the show does offer more cuts to make some scenes feel less abrupt but yea this show just had really awkward direction which Visual Novel readers/fans complained about while it was airing. Like it's a solid 8/10 show but if you haven't read the VN or seen F/Z, it's a mixed bag

The reality marble collapsed because Archer ran out of mana, and he ran away to restore his mana, since he was no match for Saber in his current state. Obviously hard to catch all these details when you're reacting, but they're there.
