What Angelo says is true.... does having memories of a past life mean your brain is also just as developed as it was in that life plus whatever you learn in this one? Because physically it isn't... there are lots of instances as well where Rudy acts like an absolute kid such as not being able to consider the consequences of his actions which he should definitely be able to do as an adult... his memories are useful for him to speed up his absorption of knowledge in this world and realize what he should focus on to grow up faster and do the things he wants that he couldn't in his previous life

But they aren't friends. Eris likes rudy And Rudy liked eris. Writing them as friends wouldn't make the story better or worse. So I feel that there is no need for that. Just because you are more comfortable with something doesn't mean it's better for story.
