Asuna didnt die because kayaba made it so she couldnt kill herself, she did try that to safe kirito. He never died he was just imagining it, the death animation was the same as in episode 1, but you wouldnt die like that from being stabbed

i felt the same way yall did when i first saw this lol. the ending was lackluster imo. i would say go watch more one piece instead of the rest of this show, but apparently the later seasons are good. from what i remember (i watched to the end of season 2) its ok.. or watch part 5 of jojo (most peoples fav part)

The scene where you thought he made her an immortal object... that was just him removing his own status as an immortal object. Asuna was just paralyzed like everyone else.
