Day & Weekes #3 - The Duel
🕑 Added 2019-12-22 02:40:33 +0000 UTCIt's an episode of dueling and diversions: first, Captain Thomas Day keeps his word and participates in a mock-duel with Dr. Richard Weekes. You might call the match a toss-up. And then, finally--we get some chess.
"...for Tom, chess was not a battle, nor a duel--it was a dance. And it was a dance that left one with endless knowledge of his partner--Just as so much crucial knowledge could be transferred in the touch of a hand in a ballroom."
Next Up: The Terror of The Lee Shore.

Loved this segment! The duel scene was fantastic in so many ways. I laughed out loud at the resolution -- that Captain Day is damned lucky! So looking forward to the next part.
