Chapter 398: The Dark Elves are Back
🕑 Added 2025-09-29 02:38:41 +0000 UTCThe Reality Stone well, for now, it seemed better to call it the Aether the trouble it caused was indeed significant. To be honest, when watching the movie before, Noah considered this a tragedy, but now, Noah truly didn't dare to look at it that way. Who knew if this was a 'training' session prepared by Odin? Because later in Avengers: Endgame, Thor went back in time to warn his mother, and Frigga seemed to understand these matters, not letting him speak.
Of course, it was also possible that this was simply a sudden event. Because no matter how you looked at it, Asgard was too strong; strong enough that no one would cause them trouble unless they were brain-dead. But unfortunately, they happened to encounter a bunch of brain-dead individuals. That's right, in Noah's eyes, the so-called Dark Elves were purely a bunch of brain-dead individuals.
Noah remembered that the main item in the Thor: The Dark World plot was the Aether, and the sole enemies were the Dark Elves. Their leader, Malekith, was an absolute idiot. He single-mindedly wanted to use the Aether's power, taking advantage of the Convergence of the Nine Realms, to transform the Nine Realms into a dark domain. In such an environment, the Dark Elves would become the sole rulers, as most of the existing life forms in the Nine Realms could not survive in such an environment.
Honestly, if Odin truly didn't know what was going on, then if Malekith, after obtaining the Aether, simply found a planet to transform, there probably wouldn't have been any subsequent trouble. Odin generally wouldn't interfere with domains not involving the Nine Realms. And not messing around on Earth wouldn't attract the attention of the Avengers or the mages of this world, nor would it bring out hidden powerhouses like the Ancient One. So, throughout, it was Malekith acting like an idiot and seeking his own demise.
It had to be said that this guy had little ability but too much ambition, because he actually tried to transform all Nine Realms into a dark world in one go! He didn't even consider whether the two or three remaining Dark Elves could control such a large area. Of course, having ambition isn't necessarily a bad thing. Preparing enough territory in advance, so that when the Dark Elves develop in the future, they won't have to worry about not having living space.
But the problem was that this guy's ability and his ambition were completely mismatched. To use Tony as an example, this guy's intelligence was as high as his shamelessness was thick, at least proportional, right?
This guy was directly the inverse. Even with the Aether, he could only fight the Thor who hadn't mastered the power of lightning in the original work to a stalemate?
Alright, how would such a guy face Odin?
Honestly, Noah was a bit confused as to how he survived under Odin's father, King Bor.
"Could it be that this guy had incredibly good luck? He managed to survive perfectly in front of such terrifying beings?"
Noah shook his head. To be honest, this guy running to Asgard to cause trouble now was simply seeking his own death. Whether Odin truly didn't know or deliberately allowed it, the fact was that the new Thor, who was gradually understanding the source of his power and training it, could beat this guy so badly he wouldn't know which way was up. Not to mention Noah himself was going along. Although Noah didn't think he was that amazing, he was at least stronger than Thor, right?
In the original work, that Thor could fight him to a draw.
Noah felt that facing him would be no different from an instant kill.
With Loki's unwilling expression, he summoned the Bifrost. Loki was initially wondering if Heimdall, who he had frozen once, would even heed him. But Loki found that Heimdall still obeyed his summons and opened the Bifrost very smoothly.
Loki, who had been on Earth for about a year, felt a bit emotional after returning to Asgard. However, his face was still sour when he saw Heimdall. Fortunately, they still had important matters to attend to, and Loki was also missing Odin and Frigga, whom he had only been separated from for a year.
"How does it feel to be home?" Walking with the two of them towards Odin's palace, Noah curiously asked Loki.
"What feeling?" Loki seemed to glance at Noah disdainfully. "There's some feeling. I've only been out for a year, don't compare it to your human time measurements."
"Is that so? Why do I feel you're a bit emotional?"
"That's definitely your mistake!"
Mistaken feeling? Noah tilted his head, no longer bothering to say anything. They had now entered the great hall. All-Father Odin wasn't sitting on the throne but was standing there, quietly waiting for Noah and the others to approach.
After Noah and the others drew closer, Odin descended the steps, welcoming Noah and their return like a warm elder. "Long time no see, Noah." Odin patted Noah's shoulder, then looked at Loki standing beside Noah.
"Welcome home, my son."
After saying this, Odin thoroughly assessed Noah and Loki. He quickly froze for a moment. He had to admit that he was indeed surprised by the strength Noah was now displaying. Although he said 'long time no see,' he had actually been frequently peeking at Noah. He knew Noah had created a magic that could simulate the universe, and he also knew that Noah might have already
obtained the Time Stone.
But he never expected Noah's current magical prowess to be almost on par with his wife's. Such exaggerated progress even made Odin wonder if Noah was some kind of divine offspring. As for Loki? The ice aura around him was getting heavier, which made Odin slightly worried.
To be honest, he didn't want his son to transform into a Frost Giant, even if he wasn't his biological son, Odin had deep affection for him.
After a brief chat, Odin also 'met' Thor's girlfriend, Jane Foster, through Thor's introduction. Odin didn't comment on this woman. He noticed the strange power contained within her body.
"Your Majesty Odin, you must have noticed it too, right?"
Noah had been observing Odin and naturally noticed the change in his expression.
"Yes, a very strange power," Odin nodded. "I truly didn't expect it to be the Aether."
Truly didn't expect it? Noah's mouth twitched. Did he truly not expect it, or did he already know and simply couldn't be bothered to intervene? Of course, Noah wouldn't say such foolish words. He dutifully stood aside, waiting for Odin to continue.
"I assume you know the true nature of the Aether, right?"
Odin pondered for a moment before looking at Noah, or rather, at what was hanging around Noah's neck.
"Yes," Noah nodded readily. "It's an Infinity Stone."
"An Infinity Stone? There's one?"
"Wait? What's an Infinity Stone?"
Unlike Loki, who already knew and remained calm, Thor and Jane both looked astonished. Thor was surprised that he had encountered another Infinity Stone in such a short time; the probability was so high he could buy a lottery ticket. Miss Foster simply didn't know what this thing was, nor did she understand the value of an Infinity Stone. In this situation, Thor could only pull Jane aside and quietly explain to her what an Infinity Stone was.
Odin paid no attention to Thor's actions. His gaze remained on Noah: "This gem is the Reality Stone, and Noah, I must warn you, having two Infinity Stones together is not a good idea."
"Your Majesty's thoughts and concerns, I have foreseen them," Noah wasn't entirely sure what Odin meant, but that didn't stop Noah from replying, "So I don't intend for them to be together, and I will separate them in the future, but for now, I think it's better to keep them in my own hands."
"Oh? You can already use the Time Stone?"
"Yes, my teacher gave me a book a year ago, and I learned a lot after reading it. However, compared to the Time Stone, I'm more adept at using the Space Stone. You know
I'm a Kamar-Taj mage."
Odin nodded. Kamar-Taj mages' use of spatial magic was well-known, so he wasn't surprised that Noah would perform better with the Space Stone. What surprised him was that Noah could already use the Time Stone, and might have even seen some vague futures.
Shaking his head, Odin was about to say something when Thor suddenly asked with a strange expression, "Space Stone? Time Stone? Wait, buddy, you have two Infinity Stones?"
"Yes," Noah nodded honestly. "The Time Stone was originally Kamar-Taj's treasure."
Thor looked bewildered, but he wasn't stupid; he immediately realized something: "Damn it! The Time Stone is also on Earth?
"Yes."
"You actually control two Infinity Stones?"
"That's right, is it strange?"
"..."
Is it not strange? The universe is vast and boundless. So many powerful races know about the Infinity Stones, and so many breathtakingly powerful beings wish to obtain them. But they can't get their hands on them, and you're holding two by yourself? Thor's eyes widened. Suddenly, he thought of something and turned to Jane. Was this the third Infinity Stone? And it appeared on Earth again?
What the hell was going on? Was Earth the center of the universe?
Otherwise, why were these Infinity Stones appearing one after another on Earth? Thor couldn't figure out this problem. In fact, probably no one, including Noah and Odin, could figure out this problem, right? The only one who might be able to figure it out was something like OAA, but Noah wasn't sure if that entity existed in this world.
Shaking his head, Noah's expression became much more
serious. "Your Majesty Odin, I think we should stop focusing on the gems. I have something I must remind you of."
"Oh? What is it?" Odin looked at Noah's expression and immediately became more serious. "Please speak, Master Noah."
"I just wanted to remind Your Majesty, the Dark Elves are back."
"..."
