Chapter 405: Silvery White Flames
🕑 Added 2025-10-07 06:37:19 +0000 UTCThe sudden burst of power from Thor made Noah's eyelids twitch, because Noah had truly had a lot of contact with such power! Back when Noah was young and ignorant, he wanted to test his full capabilities, so he summoned Thor at his peak, wielding Stormbreaker, into the system space. And then Noah couldn't forget the feeling of his head being repeatedly cleaved off by an axe, and his dragon head too, of course.
Of course, the Thor in front of him wasn't at his absolute peak, because Noah could feel that even with this sudden burst of power, he was still roughly on par with himself.
That is to say, the current Thor had a combat power of around eighth-tier, eighth-level, not yet reaching his peak! Noah believed Thor's true peak was when he killed Thanos at the beginning of Avengers: Endgame. At that time, Thor's power had not only reached its pinnacle, but his disheartened state also made his attacks incredibly ruthless, almost always aiming for vital points.
"He was probably traumatized by Thanos, so he can't afford to be careless anymore, right?"
Honestly, Thor in this state was quite similar to Noah.
Although Noah hadn't experienced such terrifying things, Noah, unless sparring, never held back. Even when facing mutants, he didn't show much mercy.
This Thor, while formidable, was still far from making Noah feel afraid. Taking a deep breath, Noah stood in place, waiting for Thor's power surge to complete. Since this was a sparring match, Noah wouldn't go too far. If he suddenly attacked and interrupted Thor at this moment, Odin might even cause him trouble.
After about a minute, the terrifying power fluctuation around Thor finally stopped. At this point, Thor didn't seem much different from before, but in essence, he had undergone a world of change! Terrifying thunderous power fluctuations reverberated in the gladiatorial arena.
Coupled with Thor's inherent warrior demeanor, hardened by battle, he seemed almost invincible! Endless lightning crackled around him; aside from the length of his hair, he was indistinguishable from the peak Thor in Noah's memory!
"Is this the power of the true God of Thunder?"
Loki stood in the stands, his mouth twitching slightly. He had been happily watching his brother get beaten up, but the next moment, he found his brother had become incredibly unfamiliar. Such a scene, coupled with such power, made Loki immediately understand what was likely happening.
"Yes," Odin nodded. "This is the power Thor truly should
master. Loki, my son, you must work hard."
Work hard? Loki didn't reply, but his heart was also ablaze. If it were before, Loki might not have had any thoughts or motivation, but now, Loki clearly had different ideas. If Thor had the power of lightning, didn't he have the power of frost?
Subconsciously touching the Casket of Ancient Winters hidden on his person, Loki took a deep breath. He knew he truly needed to work harder, and even harder still. After this matter was over, he definitely had to learn, master, and then modify Noah's magic, and while he was at it, perfectly control the power of the Casket of Ancient Winters!
"Sorry for keeping you waiting, I didn't expect this to happen."
When Thor fully recovered, he awkwardly scratched his head and said to Noah. During their fight, Thor had felt the power within him boiling more and more intensely.
This boiling seemed to correlate with how much Noah hit him. When this boiling reached its peak, Thor immediately felt a terrifying power erupt within him, and he himself chose to stop all actions to comprehend this power. Honestly, if Noah had gone after him then, he would have been in serious trouble.
"Since you've recovered, let's continue."
Noah didn't pay too much attention to his apology, but quickly set up a defensive spell for himself. What could Noah do against this kind of blatant cheating? This sudden burst of a cheat was like activating a premium membership. What could Noah, who relies on grinding and a small assistant, say? Since they were on the same level, Noah naturally wouldn't hold back anymore.
Just now, Noah and Thor's fight was indeed like a game, basically following the same pattern enter a space, then find an angle to exit and blast Thor, then go back in. But now, Noah wasn't going to play around like that anymore. Doing so at the same level would probably put himself in danger.
Taking a deep breath, Noah's body instantly shimmered with a pale golden light, and mysterious black runes faintly revolved around him.
"Damn it!"
Noah had just entered this state, and the next second, his face changed! He felt a massive thunderclap hurtling towards him without even seeing Thor. His magic shield instantly cracked, forcing Noah to immediately open a portal and escape into it! High-tier mages and high-tier warriors engaging in close-quarters combat usually ended miserably.
Even with Kamar-Taj's foundation, Noah still disliked this type of close combat. But just as Noah landed, he once again felt Thor's power fluctuation, forcing Noah to leave his spot again this time, he chose to fly!
Sudden stop! Change direction!
Noah once again dodged Thor's attack and immediately cast a stronger magic shield on himself. Honestly, Noah's flying speed was very fast and somewhat erratic.
Coupled with Noah's occasional use of spatial magic, Thor was momentarily helpless against Noah. Noah breathed a sigh of relief at this situation. Although Noah disliked riding brooms, it didn't mean he couldn't use such techniques. However, his movements weren't graceful; in fact, they seemed quite clumsy. Repeatedly and narrowly dodging Thor's fatal attacks was already quite impressive.
"This is annoying. These warriors are fast enough, but they keep wanting to get close to you. I'm not a woman or Loki!" Noah cursed under his breath, then sped up his flight. While flying, Noah also didn't forget to leave some magic traps for Thor. With such a chase, the magic traps Noah left behind would almost never miss. Every time Thor ran into a trap left by Noah, Noah would unhesitatingly turn around and give Thor a fierce blast.
However, Thor's combat intelligence was very high.
Although his lightning power wasn't magic like Noah's, it didn't mean he couldn't come up with some special things.
For example, at this moment, Thor was trying to wrap his lightning power around his body like armor, protecting himself just like Noah's magic shield. With this shield's protection, even though Thor was blasted by Noah's magic, he didn't get hurt at all!
The magical explosions and the roar of Thor's lightning echoed in the empty arena, where only the five of them were present. The situation seemed to enter a difficult stalemate. No one knew how long this situation could last. Noah, darting around in mid-air, seemed to be constantly in danger of being caught by Thor, while Thor also seemed to be in constant danger of being disabled by Noah's magic.
"This can't go on."
Noah was also getting frustrated. This seemed to be the first time he had fought to a stalemate in a real battle. In previous battles, he either directly eliminated his opponent or was directly eliminated by his opponent.
There was no such prolonged stalemate. Thor's combat adaptability and combat intelligence were also terrifyingly high. Even though many of the traps Noah left were spatial traps, Thor deftly avoided most of them. Even if he didn't avoid them, he burst through them with terrifying explosive power before Noah could close the space.
Continuing this meaningless struggle, Noah felt he could easily last a day with his magic. As for Thor, he was a warrior, how could he get tired so quickly? And no one knew how much lightning power he had; Noah had never seen Thor run out of energy.
"System, activate the domain."
Sighing helplessly, Noah finally chose to use his domain.
This basically meant Noah wanted to end the battle quickly. As Noah's command was issued, the surroundings of the dilapidated gladiatorial arena suddenly seemed to solidify. A strange power fluctuation rapidly spread, and within this fluctuating area, everything seemed to change!
Seeing this scene, Odin's face instantly changed. He could feel that Noah's magic power had once again increased!
Loki also felt the same, but the feeling wasn't intense, and he didn't care about these. What he cared about was that Noah was actually forced by Thor to use this magic.
"It seems Noah is going all out," Loki whispered.
"Huh? What do you mean? Was that child just playing before?" The only one who might not have understood the situation was Frigga, though she also felt the difference in this magic.
"It seems so," Odin sighed helplessly. "This magic, I'm afraid, Thor has no hope of defeating him."
No sooner had Odin's voice fallen than Thor actually charged into this strange fluctuation, striking directly at Noah, who stood rooted to the spot, with immense lightning! Seeing this scene, Odin closed his eyes helplessly, while Loki watched with a joyful expression.
Boom!
With a roar loud enough to shake all of Asgard, Noah's domain instantly radiated a terrifying silvery-white heat! White waves instantly engulfed Thor, and even his lightning power vanished without a trace in that instant!
This dazzling silvery-white giant wave was actually pure flame; it was the manifestation of flames reaching their ultimate temperature!
