Chapter 406: The Dwarf Kingdom
🕑 Added 2025-10-07 06:41:23 +0000 UTC"Honestly, you really didn't need to be so harsh."
"Is that so? Who was it that was more ruthless than me back then, practically trying to kill me? How could I forget that stance?"
Sitting in the spaceship provided by Asgard, Thor was painfully rubbing his face. What was more interesting was that he was now wearing a helmet. In that battle with Noah, Thor could be said to have given his all, and he was also very 'fortunate' to witness Noah's full power!
That space, like an independent universe, and those terrifying magical flames that made Thor shudder even now when he recalled them.
Those scorching, silvery-white flames directly engulfed Thor. If he hadn't suddenly thought of transforming his lightning power into something akin to a magic shield, Noah would probably be hunted down by his father right now. But even so, Thor still suffered greatly his proud long hair was directly burned into weeds by Noah, and even his armor turned into steam from resisting Noah's magic.
So now Thor had to re-forge a brand new black armor, and his head full of weeds was also trimmed by Frigga.
"This is the fierce man I remember!"
Yes, Thor's hairstyle was now like his later appearance in Thor: Ragnarok. Although it wasn't the 'creator god' grandpa who cut his hair, it at least had the same vibe.
However, Thor was currently severely dissatisfied with his hairstyle, which was why he was wearing a helmet.
Incidentally, after Thor was submerged in Noah's silvery-white lava, Noah actively used the domain's power to control the terrifying lava. Otherwise, Thor might have already turned into a pile of dry bones. The battle had progressed far enough; Odin decisively called it off. Although the final result was Thor's defeat, it was within Odin's expectations, and this battle also yielded some unexpected gains that greatly satisfied Odin. That was, Thor surprisingly managed to unleash a considerable amount of lightning power again, which was a very good thing.
As for Noah's domain, while this was something he already knew about, it still delivered some shock, but it wasn't too surprising. After the battle, Odin immediately told them to prepare overnight and depart. This surprised Noah a bit, as he had expected Odin to thoroughly question his magic. However, since it didn't happen, Noah didn't dwell on it. If he wasn't asked, Noah could save some explanation effort.
Thor, after a good night's rest, had largely recovered. He hadn't sustained any serious injuries. The only thing that caused him immense mental anguish was the loss of his hair, which Noah had no good solution for. This time, only three of them were departing. Jane had been sent back to Earth by the Bifrost, but Noah heard that she looked quite upset when she left, while Thor was busy grieving for his hair. Noah felt that it wouldn't be long before this guy would be grieving for himself...
"Can you two stop with the idle chatter? We're about to make a space jump. Even if you're not helping, can you at least be quiet?!"
Just as Noah and Thor were casually chatting, Loki's voice suddenly came from the cockpit. The pilot of this spaceship was Loki. Noah had no idea how to fly this thing; he probably couldn't operate anything other than a car.
Thor, although he could fly, his mind was currently preoccupied with his hair, and he would probably just mess things up if he tried to pilot. And Noah also thought it best not to let Thor steer; given his unfortunate travel experiences, Noah was quite worried about him encountering Thanos while flying the spaceship.
"Alright, we know," Noah replied casually to Loki, then simply walked into the cockpit. Their destination was Nidavellir, though calling Nidavellir a planet wasn't quite accurate. Nidavellir, the Dwarf Kingdom, was a series of artificial structures built around a star, also making full use of the surrounding asteroids. One could say this thing was simply a peak work of architecture and design. Noah was surprised when he saw it in the movies.
When Loki pressed the space jump button, their spaceship instantly entered a strange state, as if it suddenly accelerated beyond space and time. When everything stabilized, they appeared in another region. As for any discomfort from making a space jump in a spaceship, it was nothing to the three of them. Loki and Thor were aliens and were long used to this kind of thing. As for Noah, with his physical prowess, how could he possibly be uncomfortable?
"Wow, is this the Dwarf Kingdom of Nidavellir?" Looking at the familiar celestial body in front of him, Noah sighed.
"Yes, but please don't be so surprised. You're a rather powerful mage even in the universe," Loki glanced at Noah, his voice flat.
"I'm from Earth. I haven't seen these things before. Is it strange to be surprised?"
"Not strange, but don't act so ignorant. And this isn't a natural celestial body; it's an artificial one."
Noah nodded. He could tell that Loki, despite his harsh tone, was indeed reminding him. So, Noah didn't argue with him too much, nor did he bother to explain that he already knew these things. Instead, he quietly waited for the spaceship to dock.
"Oh, right, one more reminder," just as the hatch was about to open, Loki suddenly said to Noah again, "The race called 'dwarves,' their name is dwarves, but don't think that..."
"Don't think they're actually short, right?" Noah rolled his eyes. "I already knew that, please. I have quite a few books in my library!" Noah, of course, already knew what these so-called dwarves were like. Noah felt that these dwarves probably considered themselves short only when compared to Titans or Trolls. With their height, they weren't short at all in the universe!
The dwarves were also curious about the sudden arrivals, but when they noticed the spaceship was from Asgard, they stopped paying attention. Asgard and the dwarves had a good relationship, and some less busy dwarves even proactively came to greet the three of them.
With the help of these dwarves, Noah and his two companions didn't take long to find King Eitri, who was supervising his subordinates in the forging workshop.
King Eitri was not only the ruler of Nidavellir but also the most skilled craftsman in the realm. He could even boast that there was nothing in the entire galaxy that he couldn't forge. Eitri was Noah's target.
When Noah and his companions found the king, the dwarf king welcomed the three of them very warmly. However, their arrival did not make the dwarf king leave his work post. He directly asked Noah and his companions about their purpose there.
"Does Asgard have any new needs? Tell me, your requests will be fulfilled as quickly as possible."
Nidavellir received Asgard's protection, and in return, the Dwarf Kingdom provided Asgard with all the weapons or equipment they needed. This time, the people Asgard sent surprised Eitri, because it was two Asgardian heirs and a powerful mage! This made Eitri secretly wonder if Asgard had another conquest plan.
Thor and Loki, as heirs to the Asgardian throne, suddenly showing up instead of staying in their own country suggested something urgent and serious.
"That's right, I need a new weapon, and my father told me to come here. Oh, and also my friend here needs some new weapons, and my father also wrote you a letter."
As a typical Asgardian, Thor was always straightforward. He hadn't considered whether his identity would cause any misunderstandings. Even if he knew, Thor wouldn't care and wasn't worried about causing any misunderstandings.
"Oh? You're changing weapons?" Eitri tilted his head. He immediately understood Thor's meaning. Asgard had already 'deposited' a weapon with him, just waiting for the right time to be forged. Eitri had originally thought it would take several more years, but now, it seemed it was time to forge that weapon.
"No problem, trust me, Thor, I will personally forge your new weapon. It will definitely be a very powerful weapon. By the way, what about your friend? Did King Odin personally write a letter? Let me see it." Eitri was very generous.
After agreeing to Thor, he also began to deal with Noah's request. Loki, however, didn't make any requests, which surprised Eitri, but since the second prince of Asgard didn't speak, he didn't deliberately try to sell his 'creations.'
Soon, Eitri took the letter handwritten by Odin from Noah. To be honest, Noah himself hadn't opened and read this letter. However, Noah noticed that when Eitri opened and began to read the letter, his entire expression became somewhat peculiar. This made Noah curious about what Odin had written. However, Noah quickly seemed to realize something.
Wasn't Thanos's Infinity Gauntlet forged by these
dwarves? Could it be that Odin told Eitri that he had two gems, which surprised him? Or did Odin know that the dwarves were forging the Infinity Gauntlet for Thanos, and now he was directly confessing to him?
Unfortunately, Noah probably wouldn't know the answer, because after Eitri finished reading the letter, it directly turned into ashes, and Eitri's expression slowly returned to normal.
"I understand, Sir Finniel," Eitri looked at Noah seriously.
"Then, please tell me your needs, I will definitely fulfill them."
"Uh, okay, thank you."
