Chapter 407: Two New Weapons
🕑 Added 2025-10-09 03:10:30 +0000 UTCNoah's weapon requirements were simple in some ways, but also quite difficult in others. Because Noah's weapon wasn't a gauntlet, there would naturally be some minor trouble in housing two gems.
However, this was no challenge for the dwarves; otherwise, they wouldn't have been able to create the Infinity Gauntlet, would they? But boosting magic power and allowing the weapon to deform at Noah's will was truly a significant problem. Simply put, there were virtually no magically conductive materials that could meet Noah's need for arbitrary deformation. And magically conductive materials that could meet Noah's needs were almost impossible to deform.
So, finding a balance between these two key points truly worried the dwarves. After much deliberation, Eitri finally made a decision he brought out the Mithril he had accidentally acquired when he was very young. Honestly, when Noah heard "Mithril," he thought he had stumbled into a time paradox! Wasn't Mithril something that only appeared in various fantasy worlds? Could there be a Lord of the Rings story unfolding on some planet in this world? Or could Noah actually find that scoundrel Gandalf?
"Don't let me really find you, or I'll have to properly train you, teach you what a true sorcerer is, you heretic!"
Noah kept this in mind. With the Space Stone, Noah wasn't worried about not being able to travel freely across the universe. It might even be possible to travel out of this universe. A single world inherently contains several, or even countless, universes, and the number of these universes is determined by the strength of that world.
After determining the main material for Noah's weapon, the rest became slightly simpler, though still not entirely simple. At least, combining Mithril with an Infinity Stone was no easy feat. As for incorporating Noah's current wand into it, was that even a problem? Noah's wand was giving the dwarves headaches, while Thor's new weapon presented far fewer difficulties. Because it was "stored" in Asgard, they had already prepared the materials and such, unlike Noah's complicated situation.
This new weapon was, of course, Stormbreaker, or it could also be called Storm Axe, a weapon that could be used as both an axe and a hammer. What made Noah curious was that without the little tree creature Groot this time, Stormbreaker's handle might be different from the one in the movie. However, these were not Noah's concerns; the dwarves would naturally have their own preparations.
The dwarves were highly efficient. While Eitri and others prepared Noah's weapon, other dwarves also prepared all the already arranged materials and molds.
Since the weapon to be crafted for Thor had already been designed, everything was ready. They just needed to melt the prepared special metal and pour the liquid metal into the mold. It was that simple; this kind of work didn't even require Eitri's personal involvement, as other dwarves could easily complete it.
"This weapon contains extremely formidable power. If your own strength is insufficient, you won't even be able to wield this weapon. But since you're here today, you must already possess the qualifications to wield it. Oh, and this weapon can even directly activate the Bifrost."
The Bifrost could also be used as a form of teleportation spell, allowing one to reach any corner of the Milky Way galaxy in a very short time. Perhaps any corner of the universe, though there was a process during teleportation, and this "flight" time extended with increasing distance, unlike Noah's or the Space Stone's instant arrival at the destination. But even so, the Bifrost was an extremely convenient method of teleportation.
If Thor could freely use the Bifrost, the benefits would not only be more convenient trips to Earth to see his girlfriend. In combat, he could even launch surprise attacks instantly due to the short distance.
While a dwarf Noah didn't recognize explained things to Thor, Stormbreaker was slowly forged. As Noah had estimated, without Groot, the axe's handle was indeed different. It must be remembered that the Dwarf Kingdom was not the place reduced to only one living person by Thanos, so it was naturally impossible for the weapon to be almost formed, only for the crucial handle to be unprepared such an embarrassing situation.
After the weapon components were taken out of the mold, the dwarves immediately installed the still-not-completely-cooled components onto the already prepared handle. As the components thoroughly cooled, the entire Stormbreaker was fused together by a mysterious power. The moment Stormbreaker took shape, a powerful fluctuation emanated from the weapon.
Besides Noah and Loki, the mages, the one who also sensed it was Thor, who was about to become the owner of this weapon.
"It seems this weapon is truly formidable." Loki's mouth twitched slightly as he looked at the weapon, feeling a bit jealous of the power it exuded.
"Why are you still standing there? Go prove you're worthy to pick it up." Noah didn't have any other emotions. Short-haired Thor holding Stormbreaker that was the true God of Thunder! With such a God of Thunder holding court in Asgard, especially given some time, perhaps Thanos wouldn't dare to casually seek trouble with Thor!
And when Thor grew to his peak, then Thanos would probably never dare to cross the line. The process of Thor picking up Stormbreaker doesn't need much explanation. This was originally prepared for him by Odin. As long as Thor reached a certain level of strength, he could pick it up and gain the axe's recognition. The current Thor was not the somewhat foolish character he was at the same period in the original story.
As Thor infused his lightning power into Stormbreaker, he immediately felt his resonance with the axe.
Stormbreaker did not resist Thor at all, giving Thor a feeling similar to wielding Mjolnir. Thor once again had that sensation of being able to feel the weapon no matter how far it was from him, as if it were a part of his own body. Looking at Thor, now bathed in lightning and holding Stormbreaker, Noah also felt a momentary trance. Although Thor hadn't reached his peak, Noah believed this guy would probably get faster and faster on this path, right?
"Is this considered watching this guy surpass himself?"
Noah stroked his chin, but soon Noah discarded this thought. Thor entered the eighth-grade, eighth-level and also got his strongest exclusive weapon. Although very powerful, don't forget that Noah also hadn't reached his peak, and Noah still had a trump card that he had barely used.
"If worst comes to worst, I'll turn into a dragon. If I can't beat him, can't I at least run away? But why does Thor look at his weapon so strangely? Could it be that this guy is going to evolve from the God of Hammer to the God of Axe?" Well, whether it was the God of Hammer or the God of Axe, it didn't seem to fit with the God of Thunder. Noah felt for the first time that being a mage was better. No matter what wand you used, people would remember your main profession; other weapons wouldn't be used as your title.
Thor's weapon was settled, and at this moment, he was as excited as a silly child. He always seemed to feel an infinite power within him, and he wished to compete with Noah to release these powers. But unfortunately, Noah was no fool. How could Noah not know what Thor was thinking? Losing to the same guy twice, in the Eastern world, this might even cause a "heart demon." Of course, Noah thought, for this kind of thing to cause a heart demon, how petty must this guy be?
Thor purely wanted to regain some face and test his abilities. However, Noah didn't plan to dance with him on the dwarf planet. God knows what this cursed place would turn into if the two of them really unleashed their full power. This situation lasted for over a month, and Noah was constantly bothered by Thor during this time.
If he hadn't temporarily been unable to leave, Noah would have probably chosen to retreat long ago.
Fortunately, Noah wasn't idle here either; he took this time to familiarize himself with the usage of the Space Stone. After all, the Space Stone wasn't the Time Stone.
No matter how much it matched Noah's attributes, Noah
didn't have an instruction manual for it.
Besides, the movies mostly showed the application of all six gems just snapping fingers, or simply channeling power to activate them. It could be said that these were either useless or the simplest applications. Noah didn't want his use of the gems to be just like applying a buff, with no fine control whatsoever. However, one month was indeed a bit short, and Thor constantly interrupted him. Fortunately, the dwarves' work efficiency was very good, and they completed their work before Noah exploded.
"This is your 'wand'." When Eitri presented a liquid-like, silvery-white object to Noah, Thor and Loki's eyes widened. They truly didn't expect the dwarves to make such an unknown object and hand it to Noah.
"You call this thing a wand?" Thor looked at the silvery "substance" with a strange expression and asked curiously.
"Yes, this thing hasn't been shaped yet." Eitri nodded affirmatively, then looked curiously at Thor and Loki: "Didn't Mr. Finniel tell you? Mr. Finniel needed a wand that could change shape freely, so we didn't mold it."
"Change shape freely?" Loki's eyes widened. "So, this thing can completely change according to the user's thoughts? But why do I feel that this thing doesn't seem to have any"
"Like the feeling of Stormbreaker?" Eitri smiled. "Because it hasn't been completely finished yet; it's missing one step."
"Missing one step? What step?"
"That's strange, why didn't Mr. Finniel and His Majesty
Odin tell you such important things? Or did you just not pay attention? Mr. Finniel is going to embed two Infinity Stones into it."
