Chapter 410: Cosmic Portal
🕑 Added 2025-10-10 12:30:56 +0000 UTC"My apologies, my apologies, I didn't expect the dwarf ale to have such a kick! I accidentally got carried away."
"Shut up, you embarrassing idiot! Do you even know how disgraceful you are?"
Early in the morning, Loki's roar and Thor's not-so-sincere apology echoed from within the spaceship Noah and his companions were on. Clearly, Thor had woken up, and Loki had no intention of letting this opportunity pass, immediately grabbing Thor and scolding him furiously.
However, Thor, who was long accustomed to this situation, wouldn't care about such trivial matters.
He continued to apologize nonchalantly, while drowsily starting to pilot the spaceship. Honestly, his piloting made Noah a little nervous. God knew if this guy would make them crash into an asteroid or something while flying like this! Fortunately, Loki didn't seem to trust him much either; he constantly stood by Thor's side, seemingly to scold him while also being ready to handle any dangerous situations.
"Honestly, it's such a shame you two mages can't experience the beauty of alcohol. It's truly boring." Thor completely ignored the gradually appearing 'hash marks' on Loki and Noah's foreheads, and continued self-importantly, "By the way, are we heading back to Asgard now? Should we go to Xandar? It's Noah's first time entering the universe, after all."
"No, I have a better place I want to see."
Noah decisively shook his head. Going to Xandar would have to wait a while, perhaps a year later. Noah's current target was that light screen, which, while different from the power of the Space Stone, still resonated with it. He wanted to see what was beyond the light screen.
"Oh? You've entered the universe? No, somewhere other than Asgard?"
"No, but I have the Space Stone, and my teacher can also do many things. So I can't say I'm completely unfamiliar.
There are some special places I want to visit."
"Wow? Special places? Are they near Asgard? You know Loki's situation."
"Don't worry, it's nearby. Of course, I know Loki's situation, so you can rest assured."
Loki's situation was being hunted by Thanos. As the one who messed everything up, Noah naturally knew this.
Fortunately, the light screen point recorded by Noah's system was still within Asgard's protected area, so Noah felt Loki would be safe moving around here.
"Is that so? Alright, let's go take a look." Hearing Noah's assurance, Thor immediately had no objections. "Give me the coordinates, and I'll pilot the ship there."
"No problem," Noah nodded. Although he didn't know how to express the coordinates, that didn't mean Noah didn't have other methods. For example, now, Noah directly concentrated his magic and pointed a finger at Thor's head. Thor instantly jolted as if he had been electrocuted, shaking his entire body, but he recovered in an instant, then looked at Noah complainingly.
"Next time, can you say something? Or just write it on the control panel?"
"Do you think I use this thing? But saying something in advance next time is fine." Thor rolled his eyes, too lazy to bother with Noah. He closed his eyes and carefully read the information Noah transmitted. Although it was simple, Thor had accurately found the coordinates of the location. However, Thor was a little confused; wasn't that place just a dead star with nothing on it?
Thor had lived for thousands of years, and he was quite adventurous, so he had been to many places and naturally knew a lot about them. As luck would have it, he had actually seen the location map Noah sent, which was why he was a little strange. That place was a star basically unsuitable for life.
Although for the three of them Noah, Thor, and Loki any place was pretty much the same, for ordinary people, that place wouldn't leave any traces of civilization, would it? Could it be that some powerful character from another universe had once stayed there and left something behind? That didn't seem right. An outside strong being entering Asgard would put Asgard into battle readiness. Surely no one would be that idiotic?
Shaking his head, Thor stopped overthinking. He quickly adjusted a series of parameters for the spaceship, and then the spaceship flew towards his preset destination at top speed. When the spaceship's speed reached a certain limit, Thor directly activated the space jump. When they emerged from the alternate dimension, they were already above an unknown star.
Thor landed the spaceship in a suitable spot. As they stepped out of the cabin, Noah immediately felt some discomfort. "What's wrong? Are you feeling a bit uncomfortable?" Thor immediately sensed Noah's unusual state. "This isn't Earth, so there naturally won't be oxygen. Do you need me to get you some equipment?"
"No need," Noah shook his head. Although he felt a little uncomfortable, Noah knew it wasn't a big problem. After all, as an eighth-tier mage, if he couldn't even overcome this, then Noah might as well give up. Moreover, Noah's physical fitness was already there; simply adapting to this oxygen-free environment in the universe wasn't impossible. Look at Thor and Loki, they were fine, weren't they? Furthermore, Noah's body was similar to Carol's; if
she could adapt, why couldn't Noah?
After a little while, Noah found himself feeling much better. The main reason was that Noah directly used the magic within his body to substitute for breathing. This approach was very effective; it even counted as a method of cultivating magic? Although Noah already felt that doing so had little effect on him.
"This place is truly desolate," Thor looked around. "Noah,
where is that place you mentioned?"
"Very close, I've already locked onto the location," Noah sensed for a moment, then directly opened a portal. Noah naturally couldn't miss such obvious spatial fluctuations; in fact, this time, Noah could feel more.
Just like last time, although the spatial fluctuations here were very obvious, they were clearly different from Noah's power and the power of the Space Stone.
Especially the power radiating through these light screens, it was distinctly different from this world. Noah couldn't describe this feeling, which only intensified his curiosity. He wondered what kind of strange place was behind this light screen.
Passing through the portal, Noah and his two companions arrived in a valley. This valley also caught Thor's attention. Because this valley was clearly not naturally formed, Thor even found traces of spaceships having landed here, which made Thor feel somewhat bewildered. Wasn't this a dead star? And this was still within Asgard's controlled territory. Why were there such traces here? These were traces of civilization! Even if these traces were probably much older than Thor, they were indeed real.
"What's going on here?"
"You ask me, who am I supposed to ask?"
Noah also noticed these traces, but he didn't think as much as Thor. As they walked further into the valley, the traces of civilization became more abundant, and Thor felt more and more lost. He felt as if he had accidentally stumbled into some terrifying place, and he was now fully on alert.
Not just Thor, Loki was also similar, and even Noah seemed to detect something amiss. If it weren't for the spatial fluctuations growing more intense, Noah would have even thought he had stumbled into some place where 'an era was buried'!
"I haven't heard of nine divine dragons pulling a coffin to Earth. If such a thing really happened, Thanos would have turned to dust long ago; where would he have the time to snap his fingers?"
The trio, feeling somewhat nervous, finally reached the very center of the valley. Inside this valley was a wall like a mirror. This situation once again left the three of them stunned for a long time, because the situation here was completely different from what they had expected.
Looking at the outside, they had thought this place was some kind of 'gathering area,' but it turned out to be a flat surface that looked like a mirror? What the hell was this thing? Was it giving you a mirror to look at yourself? This bizarre scene made all three of them feel particularly strange. If it weren't for all three of them feeling that this mirror-like surface was emitting some strange power, they would probably have suspected they had gone the wrong way.
"This place feels a bit odd to me," Thor said softly.
"It's indeed very strange. It's clear there were traces of civilization here before, but I've never heard of any civilization existing here, because this was previously a dead star. And this mirror? Alright, let's call it a mirror for now, it doesn't seem to be anything simple," Loki also frowned and nodded seriously.
"Noah, how did you know about this place?" Thor turned to look at Noah.
"Through the Space Stone," Noah didn't hide anything. As he walked towards the mirror-like surface, he said to Thor and Loki, "After I recovered the Tesseract, I once entered its interior and directly faced the Space Stone.
And that time, I was also taken on a 'tour' of the universe by the Space Stone. Incidentally, I also recorded these light screens throughout the universe."
"'Toured' the entire universe?" Thor and Loki were both a little confused about what was going on.
"Yes. Had a good tour," Noah nodded. The next moment, a brilliant blue light appeared around Noah. The brilliant blue light intersected with this mirror. Soon, the mirror seemed to come alive. Waves of strange energy continuously rippled, and a vortex began to appear within the mirror-like surface!
"Is this a portal?" When Noah activated the mirror, he was basically certain it was a portal. But where did it ultimately lead? Noah stroked his chin, but the next moment, he found himself being pulled by an invisible force! Not just him, Thor and Loki also felt the same. In the blink of an eye, they were directly pulled into the vortex within this mirror!
"Damn it!"
