From within the sea above he could see a colossal upside-down ginkgo, its leaves scattering through the water and shining with gold radiance, and as they approached the surface of the crystal blue ocean, they broke through and danced in the still air about him.
His gaze then fell sharply to the rest of the world, to the dozens of smaller urban towers of warped steel and glass that stood defiant and ominous. Between them ran raging rivers of black and crimson energy, twisting and winding through the eldritch buildings. At the very sight of them Ichigo could feel the itch of small irritation that quickly churned into resentment. And before it could erupt in sheer fury, he crushed the emotions back down to recess of his mind. And even as he did so, the black and crimson tide down below seemed to slow and descend further down between the demonic edifices.
He looked away from them and set his sight on the horizon, where whole chunks of the city were ripped away and entire building were hurtled into a colossal maelstrom of ash and fire that seemingly threatened to swallow this out-of-place world. And yet, as more and more of the city broke off, it never seemed to get shrink. Merely continuing endlessly, as far as the eye could see.
“Still an eyesore, ain’t in?”
Ichigo rolled his eyes. “Shut up, Zangetsu. Let me think in peace for once.”

so this is describing ichigos current inner world now? If it is then that's and absolutely badass depiction of it so far. Cant remember if we ever got a glimpse or vivid description of his newer inner world in previous or earlier parts of the story. Im also quite curious to know why ichgio feels a bit of resentment here too. Interesting start so far.
