Millicas and the Dragon King
🕑 Added 2025-04-18 22:05:41 +0000 UTCMillicas peeked around the hall’s corner, his blue-green eyes darting to make sure no one was watching his latest misadventure. Usually, during this time of day, he would be surrounded by tutors and bombarded with all forms of lessons. However, as his grandmother was fond of saying, he had inherited some of his father’s more impish aspects. So, Millicas had snuck away and used the teleporter in his father’s castle to transport himself to the central bastion of Infernity.
He had come here several times before, to the heart of his Nii-sama’s seat of power. But that had always been with either his mother or father. Normally it would be impossible to teleport to, or even enter, Infernity without proper clearance from the citadel’s security forces. But Ichigo-nii-sama had keyed him into the wards, allowing him to come and go as he pleased.
For the embodiment of Wrath and Evil Anger, Ichigo-nii-sama was incredibly chill.
Millicas swept magic across his feet to silence the patter of his feet as he stepped forward and put his attention to the very at-odds modern looking white door with a simple door handle. Gingerly he turned the knob, and as the door swung open, Millicas quickly raced inside and shut the door behind him in one fluid motion.
He let out a breath, Safe!
Millicas gave a quick look through the penthouse and then subtly reached out with his demonic senses. He frowned slightly as he couldn’t immediately sense Ichigo-nii-sama. Usually, a Satan was hard not to notice in proximity, even when they did their best to hide their presence. Others may be fooled, but no Devil worth their cursed salt would not feel the slight tug in the corner of their souls in the presence of one of the Seven Deadly Sins! Which could only mean that Ichigo-nii-sama wasn’t at home.
Dammit.
“What am I supposed to do now?” Millicas grumbled to himself.
“An explanation would be a good start, I believe.”
The young Devil nearly jumped out of skin at the sudden cool and feminine voice that projected through the spacious room. Millicas looked about wildly but could not see anyone.
“Upstairs, hatchling,” the same voice said. And Millicas could feel the blood drain from his face as recognition set in.
Oh no! I’m in so much trouble!
He considered making a run for it. Years of engrained discipline be damned! He was too young to be a dragon snack! But even as the thought crossed his mind, the door behind him clicked, and Millicas immediately knew that it was locked shut and nothing he could do would change that.
I’m doooomed!
“Now, hatchling.”
Millicas swallowed the tightness down and, almost unbidden, his legs began to march towards and up the stairs. Through the hallway of the second floor, Millicas found himself walking into Ichigo-nii-sama’s bedroom, and instantly his eyes fell to the bed where the heavy covers lay, hiding away the vague silhouette underneath.
Clenching his hands tight, Millicas gave a bow at the waist. “Greetings, Lady Tiamat!”
He winced as he realized he had essentially shouted at a Dragon King.
However, before he could do anything else, an invisible hand gripped him and straightened his spine, forcing him to stand up from his bow. There was a rustle of movement from under the covers, and then, ever so slowly, a mane of untamed white hair emerged. And Millicas found himself staring into serpentine blue eyes that chilled the very breath in his lungs.
Tiamat regarded him impassively for what seemed to be hours and, with each passing moment, Millicas’ back started to strain as if he were carrying some great load. However, the gravity of the moment was broken when the Dragon King let out a snort and looked away with a great yawn.
“I do not eat children.”
Thank Lucifer!
Millicas blinked at her. “Uhh…thanks?”
He rubbed the back of his head nervously before his childish curiosity finally overcame the receding fear in his mind. As he remembered the rest of her words, his brow furrowed. Tilting his head in confusion, he asked, “Wait, how did you know I thought you were going to eat me?”
Those ocean blue eyes returned to him, but this time without the crushing weight pervading his being. “Your mind is an open book. Young Sirzechs would do well to remedy that.”
He frowned. “Oh. Uhh, I’ll work on it?”
“So you should,” she said flatly before pressing on. “Why have you intruded in our domain, little blood?”
“Oh,” he let out a nervous laugh as he rubbed the back of his head. “I came to see Ichigo-nii-sama! I thought maybe I could train with him again! Wait, why am I little blood? What does that even mean?”
Millicas noted a certain softness set itself in the Dragon King’s angular features, and, for the briefest moment, he thought he saw his mother’s and grandmother’s face overlap with Tiamat’s. But the familiarity went as quickly as it came, and he could only see the features of the legendary beauty.
Though he missed the brief twitch at the corner of Tiamat’s lips as she put her head back down onto the pillows.
“My master is out hunting souls for the First Flame. ‘Twill be many nights before he returns to this reality.”
“Oh,” Millicas deflated. He had planned his little excursion for days, greatly looking forward to it. He had plotted down his parents’ and grandparents’ schedules weeks in advance and had even managed to bribe Surtr Second away with a mountain of pies to make his escape!
All for naught.
Suddenly a single bare arm slowly reached out from underneath the heavy covers – and when did he get so close to the bed? – and a clawed hand grabbed him.
“Gah!” Millicas was yanked forward, and the next thing he knew, he was under the covers snuggled against the most powerful Dragon King in existence. He blinked slowly as he realized he was currently being smothered between the Old One’s breasts.
Oh no, now Nii-sama is going to kill me! I don’t want to steal his girlfriend!
As he struggled in her impossibly strong grip, he heard a snort from her again.
“Uhh, Lady Tiamat. Could you let me go please? I really only came to train.” Though, since he was pressed up against her, all his words were smothered and came out as muffled nonsense.
He felt her hand tug at the back of his collar, and Millicas was pulled forward until he was face to face with her. Even in the pitch dark under the covers, he could perfectly see her features thanks to the glow of her eyes.
“Train?” A fine, white eyebrow raised. “And what does one so young desire power for?”
Millicas blinked, but he put a hand to his chin as he honestly thought about it. “I dunno.” He shrugged after a while. “I just want to be powerful. Is that wrong?’
Serpentine eyes regarded him for a moment before her lips curved dangerously.
“Power for the sake of power,” she purred low. “Such dangerous thoughts . Your blood sings, hatchling.”
He blinked at her in confusion. Again with the reference to blood. Millicas couldn’t help but wonder if she was referring to his father or his mother. Both were exceptionally powerful Devils. Although, with his father being the most powerful member of their species, Millicas thought she was probably referring to him. And yet…
Some small whisper in the back of his mind made him think it was something else. Something entirely different.
“Very well,” she said after several moments. Her voice an odd mix that was both haughty and mirthful. “If it is training you desire, then I shall grant it.”
Milicas looked at her in surprise, excitement rising through his chest.
“Really?”
“Really.” The curve remained dangerous.
Anticipation coursing through his veins, Millicas was about ready to jump out of bed with joy, but then his father’s cautioning voice whispered in the back of his mind. An old but frequent warning throughout his childhood.
Never accept anything offered freely, Millicas. Everything has a price.
His stare turning wary, Millicas craned his neck away from the Dragon King. “Wait a minute, why do you want to train me? What’s the catch?”
Her smile softened and she brought a lone nail to push his red hair away from his eyes. Her gaze flickered over his face, and there was something old in her eyes, ancient yet…sad? But it vanished before he could fully understand what it could be. “Nothing. Save, perhaps, an old memory.”
Still not fully convinced, Millicas tried to wriggle out of the Dragon King’s grasp to no avail. After several moments of staring into her infuriating amusement, Millicas let out a huff.
“Fine,” he grouched. “When do we get to train, then?”
Her head tilted. “After we nap.”
He blinked twice. “We?”
And, once again, his face was unceremoniously shoved between the beautiful dragon’s breasts. Struggling in vain, Millicas suddenly felt a coolness flood through his chest and slowly pool over the rest of his body. His eyes began to grow heavy, and try as he might, he could not keep them open.
“Sleep, little blood.”
