Where I like to refer to my Pandemic as the Black Plague, The Affliction is the White Plague. Becoming an Afflicted results in a total loss of a identity, and being reduced to nothing more that a primitive need to fuck and spread, fuck and spread.
This particular sample, is a Legs Infected.

Anything related to the Affliction is unique unto itself. The Affliction is about a loss of Identity. In the Pandemic, and The Infection, it's more about a loss of self-control, and occasionally a loss of self, but it's never going to completely erase your identity. Displacers, Haustellum, and a few other infected do border the Affliction with how close it gets to erasing an identity, and reducing an infected to the most primitive state of existence. (Which is to hunt and fuck.) But it never really crosses the line. Affliction on the other hand will reduce an afflicted to the most Primitive state of existence, and on top of it all, not even leave a spec of who you may of been behind. In a sense, turns you into a true monster.

Given the wormlike and sex-craving nature of the Displacer and Haustellum infected, does this imply that they are also afflicted like this Legs infected thing?
