I did this to a poor coworker a few times in one day. She was hyper focused on her task on the computer, but I needed to ask her about something. She jumped or flinched every time no matter what I did to try to make my presence known. Soon she was paranoid that I was behind her even though I wasn't anywhere near her. I would just hear a "JEEZ" from down the hall from time to time, even though she was alone in her cubicle. LOL
