"My Lord, we managed to recover the unknown item, but ..." My subordinate clicked on some buttons on her arm; then, a hologram appeared in front of me. "This was not an item, it contained life."
I look at the hologram and saw a monster over two meters tall; it had white skin, long limbs, and a hump with spines.
The monster ripped open the egg it was in and started attacking the team I sent. As experienced soldiers, my subordinates soon contained the monster and imprisoned it in an energy field. I realize that they followed my order strictly, even though the situation was unexpected.
I raise my eyebrows when I see my subordinate screaming while holding his head; it looks like the monster attacked his mind somehow.
I search my memory for information about this strange creature, as I have the whole history of Krypton stored in my brain; It didn't take long to find something; I found records of something that happened in the past, a race that had the power of Telepathy. This was a dangerous power capable of completely changing a living being; the user who had this power can invade sentient beings' minds and completely change that being.
Yes, sentient beings, any living being with the least capacity to think, can be influenced by this power.
Races that have this power are classified as extremely dangerous special individuals. Usually, when Kryptonians encountered races with this type of power, they sent ships equipped with weapons of mass destruction and exterminated those races.
This was the story of when Krypton was a militaristic empire that ruled as a dictatorship.
I shake my head in disapproval; although Krypton was strong, we were portrayed as a race that was afraid of special individuals from other civilizations in the universe; that was pure nonsense.
