Bird Box was fine as a movie, but it's a horrible adaptation. The book is way better, and very different. I'd recommend it if you like reading that kinda thing. It's different enough that you wouldn't know what would happen next, for the most part. I love A Quiet Place. I also just watched it for the second time. We will hopefully be seeing the sequel on streaming here this next week, theoretically!
