The Hand of the Eight: Chapter 2. Assault on the Ghost Holm (2nd-Level)
🕑 Added 2019-12-03 05:41:21 +0000 UTCThe sea-faring orcs of the Odzedoz clan have grown more and more dangerous over the last few months. Just recently, the tribe attacked the fishing village of Haver during a hurricane. Now, comes word that the meddlesome orcs have captured a respected Castlegraspian noble's daughter. Led by the loathsome Mega the Brash, the orcs make their home on a 200-foot spire of rock off the coast of an island called the Ghost Holm. Of course, the orcs aren't the horrible things that live on the forgotten island.
Assault on the Ghost Holm is a 2nd-level Fifth Edition adventure for 3-5 characters. Characters who survive the adventure should reach the 3rd level by its conclusion. This is the second chapter in the Hand of Eight adventure path. It can be played as part of the larger adventure or as a one-shot.
The campaign is intended to be set in the DMDave crowdsourced campaign world of Omeria, but can just as easily be inserted into another coastline in a high magic campaign setting.

In theory yes but out of every time I've run this campaign just chapter 1 ends up taking anywhere from one 2 hour sessions to three 4 hour sessions. In the end I believe all it comes down to is how structured/focused/professional is the group you're running.
Anyone that has run this campaign, do you know about how long this section takes? Could I run chapter 1 and 2 in one 4-hour session?
Dave, thank you for the work you are doing making an interesting adventure for us. A couple of things with Chapter 2. 1) In the section about Griffinwatch Ruins and the Keyed Encounters. In the first section (1 - Entrance) following the description for the players, there is a passage talking about the orcs near the gate. This passage ends with the phrase "A third guard" and then moves immediately to 2A - Western Courtyard. I'm guessing there is some information missing here. Then, in 6 - Griffinwatch Keep the description for the players if they were not able to sneak in has the first paragraph ending with the sentence "The first is a tall orc with a white mohawk" but it doesn't say what he is the first of? The first creature we see? Again, something seems missing here. Thanks again!
