Tales of Orbea: The Burning Web (3rd Level)

Despite their off-putting appearance, krigs are generally passive, intelligent creatures who've helped bring many of the Weysevain Coast’s cities into the modern era of arc-technology. What would make someone or something attack the krigs? In this spin-off one-shot adventure, a group of adventurers are tasked to learn exactly that.

You could also just skip XP and base progression on milestones.

Good question. It depends heavily on how some of the situations are handled. Usually third level is a good time to introduce side quests of characters are falling behind in XP. So I’d say see where they are when it comes. If they need a boost introduce it
Question for you: if we run your Hand of Eight campaign and players decide to run these side campaigns, they would presumably be higher level or at least further along in their leveling than without them. Will that throw off the power balance in the main campaign?
