It’s been two months since I released the first part of the Black Rose Hotel update. I’ve been trying to get the next part out as quickly as possible, but I wasn’t happy with the gameplay loop.. it still feels like a straightforward, scene‑to‑scene game. While I know some players prefer that simplicity and don’t want their time wasted, I really want to push it beyond being JUST that.
To mix things up, I experimented with adding a few training scenes to break the “client to client” cycle, with the idea of possibly adding minigames in the future.
That led me to create three new mini scenes from scratch (plus a fourth full scene with Yumeko, since Mia had way more scenes than her), which slowed progress a bit.
The good news is, five scenes are now done. I’m finalizing two more, integrating them into the gameplay code, and then I can ship the update.

Great idea. Those training scenes can be a good way to make characters more unique and complete which will result in better "main" scenes with them overall. Can't wait for the update
