BTS Pics - 'TikTok Vs Democracy'
🕑 Added 2024-09-27 21:04:43 +0000 UTCHello lovely Patrons!
We just wrapped on my next episode, working title TikTok Vs Democracy. Here are some stills from the set! I'm so proud of this one!
This episode is actually one uncut monologue, WITH NO EDITS! The camerawork was by Mannbros media, and they REALLY nailed it.
I memorised and performed the whole thing!
We'll be talking about democracy and social media's impact on it
I wanted to deliberately create something that goes against the best principles of social media content, 'anticontent'
We'll be talking about surveillance and privacy issues too!
Some of what we have to say will touch on China... IYKYK
草泥马挡中央
Nicki Buglewicz returned to do hair and makeup
I actually made the costume myself!
I look like I'm auditioning for Beetlejuice haha
Or the Joker? On set we said it looked like Jordan Peterson had been kicked through a hedge
This looks like a poster for an Edinburgh Fringe show lol
The crew seriously pulled it out of the bag and did an incredible job. So proud of them! The final thing is amazing, and I can't wait to share it with you. Shouldn't take long to edit either since it's just one shot!

OMG! You look amazing, girl, so Tim Burtonesk... Wow, seriously? That is what people are commenting on. Please don't take me wrong. Your production value is off the chart, so congratulations to you and the entire team (I know what it takes to produce this type of content). But to the real point. We can't get rid of the current system, and the middle tier is unnecessary. It already exists if one knows how to use filters. This brings me to the real point I have to make and the one you neglected to mention... EDUCATION! That is the best filter and the power equalizer. Unfortunately, to many, that is a dirty word. In the movie "The Jerk," as the main character is getting ready to go out into the wide world, his adopted father explains some of the rules: "Learn the difference between $#!+ and Shinola." In conclusion, I offer this to young and old: don't confuse 💩 and think it's 👠🇵🇱, and also find your "special purpose." Great Job, Abi. You do look great. Oops, never mind. I guess this post is about the looks and not the content.

Looks awesome! I have owned “the age of surveillance capitalism” for some time - might be time to start reading it!

Looking forward to this one particularly. And someone *should* kick Jordan Petersen through a hedge. Maybe a Grass Mud Horse.
Diana
Nice. Very "we live...in a society..."

I thought you looked like the mad hater.

One partner has already converted a picture into an album cover!

Excited for this one! It's cool to see you revisiting topics from a much earlier era of Philosophy Tube, and it's always a treat when you show off your acting chops. I still remember the big camera rotation moment all the way back in Cosmonaut 2. And the costuming is on point as always!

Ooh, cool look! Definitely Beetlejuice via the Joker. It's a little bit Edward Scissorhands too? Also, awesome video concept - how was it to pull off? Did you manage it first time once the cameras started rolling, or did you do multiple takes?

I have a low-key love affair with slow media - ever since I read Jerry Mander's "Four Arguments For The Elimination of Television!" Also learned later in life that this was part of Mr. Rogers' vision for children's television.

OMG Tim Minchin, yes! In the very best way. As if there is anything but the very best way. (Off to re-watch his Pilate in Jesus Christ Superstar!

So excited to see what you've done! Yay anticontent! It's still content, strangely.

Awesome, you look amazing, looking forward to watching it, I'm not a TikTok user but it's always good to know.

Like the outfit! Gives me Wonka vibes. Or maybe Tim Minchin. :) Been a while since you did a one-take vid, but it was great before, look forward to seeing this one!
