One thing that I don't think gets addressed enough is that unlike the dot com collapse, it's not just venture capital that is pouring money into these things, it's Google, Meta, Apple, & Microsoft, all trillion dollar companies with other revenue streams that can conceal their inability to monetize AI.

OpenAI buying up and hoarding RAM is yet another reason why Sam Altman needs to be shot into the sun. Do you think that OpenAI hoarding RAM so their competitors can't access it is an act of desperation from Altman? Altman is aware that AI investment is a bubble and is especially sensitive about the fact that OpenAI can't possibly pay for all of its investment in compute given its meager revenue.
