Large Lesson To Learn - Chapter 5

Lauren had a plan, she’s always thinking ahead, always working hard to get things done right. Lewis was not like her, he was nothing like his father. He was lazy, stubborn, and selfish. Lauren needs to fix this, she needs to fix him.
She gave him plenty of chances, he left her no other choice. She would’ve loved to say she didn’t want things to end up this way, that she didn’t want this to be the way to solve this. But that was before, it seemed to her that this was the only solution for this problem, the only way he’ll learn.
She was going to teach him a lesson, she was going to show what’s it like to do things right, how to solve actual problems, she was going to show him who, in the end, is the actual boss.

Lauren was at her house late at night. She was in her living room, already in her pajamas, in a nice pajama suit. Pants that matched her shirt, a velvet touch to the fabric. She deserves to sleep comfortably.
She still had her glasses on, she was reading the instructions at the side of the bottle, the night’s table light on as she was trying to fully understand how this would all go.
She breathed in, threw her head back a little, her raven hair flowing back and forth as it was loose. She looked up at the ceiling, as if she was asking for a sign not to do this. She didn’t want to be mean, she didn’t want to be bad, she didn’t want to become the villain. But Lewis is not exactly the hero either. So who is she? Who is he?
She’s not the hero, she’s not going to play by the rules, but she’s not a villain looking for revenge; she’s working for the people, they deserve someone capable, someone who’ll take care of the company. So who is she? An anti-hero? Seeking for justice but using her own ways? Well, whoever she is, her only way after she starts, will be up…
“So, one pill every night…” She said, reading the instructions out loud.
She noticed a couple of things, first, these pills were designed for slow changes. They will work in the long way, she’ll notice her changes within weeks. And then she read the side-effects.
She bought this all because of those side-effects. One in particular was what she was going for. These pills will make her grow! Taller, sexier, she’ll become more confident and imposing!
But, was that what she was looking for? Was her goal to become a larger lady and take control of the company by force? To grow bigger and bigger and use her size as her means to take control from Lewis? Intimidate him? Force him to give it up? No, that’s a sacrifice she’ll have to make.
Not much of a sacrifice, it’s not something she wanted but it’s something she’ll have to do. But, what was she looking for? What’s the side-effect that will allow her to take control of the company? How will she work things up so that Lewis gives her the full charge?
She’s going to read it herself…
“Our product guarantees size augmentation in the spiciest of ways. You’ll become curvier, taller, sexier than ever! But there’s a side-effect when using the product for too long.” she read, getting to the real deal, to the reason why she bought it.
“If ingested daily for over a month, lactation may occur. Our special formula works miracles on the body, but the products that come out of the body could be dangerous. If lactating, make sure not to ingest said product. Dispose it safely away from other people’s reach.” And why would that be? She said, as if she had no idea what it was. She enjoyed reading those last lines.
“Milk produced when taking our pills can cause shrinking. The effects seem to be stronger in men, as our studies have revealed. Make sure to avoid reaching the point of lactation, and if you do, please reach us.” Blah, blah, blah… she didn’t need to read the rest.
Lauren was still unsure, was she actually going for this? She looked at the bottle, shook it a bit and listened to the sound of the bouncing pills as she tried to settle some thoughts in her mind.
Why not? Even when she starts drinking them, she still has a whole month before the effects show. Lewis will still have a “courtesy” month trial. After that, and she’s sure he will not make her change her mind, she’s going to go for it.
There’s no way things won’t end up as she has planned. He has left her no choice. Still, changes are not immediate, they are not instant. He’ll have enough time to change. Of course, she won’t say a word, she won’t reveal this plan of hers. Not until it’s too late for him to do anything…
Lauren opened the bottle and swallowed a pill. Just as the bottle advertised, the pills smell like cherry. She almost wanted to chew it, instead she just swallowed it.
It’ll take a few days for her to see the results. Even when she wanted to wake up the next day and see the changes already on her, this is not how it all worked. The slow growth will make the changes on her imperceptible for those who meet her daily. Lewis, for starters. No one will suspect, they will all think this is because of heels and cosmetics, plastic surgery even.
She doesn’t care what people say, what they think or if they point at her. She’s going to do this for the company.
She turned off the lights, closed her eyes and tried to sleep. There was a mix of excitement and anger that stopped her for a while, but in the end she conceived some sleep.
The next day was going to be the very first day of her new life. The day when all changes begin…

The next morning, she got to the office, at her usual hours, almost thirty minutes before she had to. She headed straight to her desk, and left her stuff over there.
She was wearing a pencil skirt, a blouse and a matching blazer. Of course, they all fit the same way. When looking at her, you could see the same Lauren, the same Mrs. Fields everyone knows. Her face showed her age, and a little more due to years and years of working until late night hours, sleep deprivation, and many more sacrifices she had to make for the company.
And everything just for a fool to come and become the owner of the company. Uncapable, irresponsible, a risk for this company! Everyone can see it, but she’s the only one who’ll do something.
Later that morning, she went straight to his office. Right on time for him to be there, when he should be there at least. As she opened the door, she saw no one.
Lauren frowned. If he’s a few minutes late that’s fine, not good but for someone who’s always late, it’s an improvement. However, he was not just a few minutes late…
Lewis arrived to his office about an hour later, carrying a paper bag with what she was sure was his breakfast.
“Lauren! Good morning.” He greeted.
“Late, you’re late again.” She said, sitting on his desk and looking at him with disappointment.
“Sorry, I was making my way here on time, but I skipped breakfast before I left home, so I picked something.” he lifted the bag.
“Right, you can’t work on an empty stomach.” She rolled her eyes.
“Hey! Glad you understand! But don’t worry, as soon as I’m done with this, I’ll focus on my work. I’ll be like a laser! Eyes set on the computer and…” she stood up and walked his way, he stopped talking as she approached.
“Do as you want, I’ve left a list of chores for you. I hope they are all done by Friday.” She walked past him and just left.
“Sure, yeah sure!” He said as she exit his office.
Lewis walked towards his desk and placed the bag on it.
“Why is she talking to me as if she owns the company? I own it! I’m the boss, not her.” He said, pulling out a cheese burger out of the bag, and now looking for the fries.
Lauren was so annoyed by this. He slacks on the job, he arrives late, he should be fired! But she knows it’ll be hard, the only way the board will fire him is if he really messes up. Ruining contracts, partnerships, maybe even taking the company close to bankruptcy. But no one will allow that.
She’s mad because all members of the board were willing to take this. Someone else should make up for his mistakes, we have a whole team who’ll take care of this while he’s just “the new face” of the company. It was all a joke to them, he was a spoiled boy, but she knows he’s an irresponsible man.
Daddy left him this company, and he’ll ruin it! Only she cares for the company, it’s up to her to correct this mistake. If no one wants to step up and actually do something, she’ll do it!

The rest of the day went on as usual, he acted as if he was on some sort of vacation. Just wasting time away and not working at all. He spent the whole day doing a fifteen-minute job!
And he was supposed to be the boss? But she was not going to get mad, she was not going to get upset, she was not going to lose it. In the end, she knows what’s going to happen. All she has to do is to be patient, wait and be patient…

During the rest of the week, he managed to get the job done. Did he actually try? No, he just did the minimum. Lauren was working hard behind her desk to compensate for his lack of work.
But even with that little work he had to do, even when he could take a whole week doing a one-day job, he found it boring, annoying, something someone else should do.
He asked Lauren, if she was supposed to be his assistant, and do all he had to do for him, how come he still had to work?
Lauren smiled, not in a kind way but in a that’s-such-a-stupid-question kind of way. She was doing most of his work! And he still felt like the little things she left for him were too much? All he had to do was sign and give some files a last look! Lauren really felt like slapping him, but she won’t, at least not now.
Since she was not going to come and do all the little work he had left to do, he was going to find someone else…
Lewis was far too lazy to actually work, he’d rather do things the only way he knows how to. Find someone who does them for him. So, he needed an assistant, even when Lauren was his assistant, he still believes he should have more people working for him.
What were his requests? Since the work left for him to do could be done by him, a lazy, spoiled man, anyone is qualified to do it. But what were his requests? First of all, a lady, she must be a pretty lady. Around his age, tall since he’s 6´3”; 5’9” and above would do. Sexy, single and of course, she must allow him to flirt with her, and if she falls in love with him, well that’s inevitable.
He made it down to different levels of the building in the search for someone. There were a lot of fine candidates. But there were a few things he had to keep in mind.
Some had a nice ass! But they were quite short. 5’6” and below, so that’s a maybe. Others were tall but not quite had the shape he wanted, a little too thin. A few others were not single and some were just too chubby. Pretty but not as athletic as he would’ve liked.
The only game he actually knows how to play is the love one. Well, if not love in the long term, at least he can seduce a woman and captivate them long enough to get the information he needs.
He went up and down the building, since he was the boss it was easy to get their attention and their immediate admiration, and then all he had to do was use his natural charms and charisma for the rest.
He walked out of the building, it was easy to get the names since everyone at the office wears a company’s ID. So, he could reduce this all down to 5 ladies. His top-five candidates for an assistant.
Lewis walked out of the building, he’d like some fresh air to help him think a little. What should he prioritize? Looks? Brains? Butt? Boobs? Face? Body? The more he thought about it, the more he wanted to take any of them to bed. Maybe things would be easier if he can sleep with them, maybe sex was the final test?
Just as he was walking out of the company, he spotted a tree in the middle of the concourse outside of the building. He immediately thought it'd be nice to sit there and think, and then he spotted her.
He was not expecting to see someone there. And much less for her to be such a charming woman.
It seems she was having her lunch there. Alone? Why was she alone? She was blonde, with pale skin and her cheeks were a little red. Her lips were kissable and painted red. She was looking at her phone, texting someone? Just watching a video while she eats?
She had a sandwich next to her, placed over a napkin on the surface of the bench where she was sitting. The wind made her hair fly with its gentle breeze. He walked closer, and he found it very cute how she chewed, how she zipped on her juice. She hasn’t noticed him, but he has noticed her.
She was wearing a skirt, kind of short, allowing him to see her long legs. She was tall, he thought. She was pretty, so that’s another thing he was looking for. Now, is she single? And is she interested in him? He’ll find out soon…

“Hello, there…” He said, standing right in front of her.
“Uhm… hi?” She said, feeling a bit estranged by his sudden approach, but he was handsome so she’ll give him a chance.
“I wonder, why is there a pretty lady like you having lunch here on her own?” He asked, smiling at her in the most charming of ways he could.
She smiled too, but deep down she was a bit upset. Why was he saying that? It’s obvious he wants to hit on her. “I like to be alone.” She replied, maybe he’ll understand she’s looking forward to him leave.
“Oh, that’s cool! You know, I was actually trying to do the same. I spotted this tree and thought, what a nice place to rest and think! And then, I saw you…” She’s supposed to immediately fall for him. But she won’t.
“Is that so?” she asked, she seems not to know who he is.
“Yes, maybe we can both think here together, if this seat’s not taken, of course.” He wanted to sit next to her, and then he’s going to try and seduce her furthermore. She knows it.
“No, but I’m about to leave, my lunch’s over in a few minutes, I should get going.” She started.
“Why? Come on, I don’t think anyone would mind if you take a few more minutes. I do it ALL the time.” He said, trying for her to stay.
“I better not. This is my first day, and I really need the job. Maybe it’s not a good idea to take a longer time if you want to keep your job, you know…” that was a hint, she was telling him he’ll lose his job.
She stood up, and Lewis could tell she was tall. Not close to his height, but standing at 5’10”, she was his kind of tall.
Lewis felt like she didn’t care for him. She’s new, so she doesn’t know who he is. He just smiled.
“I should get going…” she said.
“Wait, could I, at least, know your name?” She was not wearing a badge, no ID, that’s because she’s new.
She breathed in, “Gwen.” she said.
“Gwen?” He asked.
“Gwendolyn Bright. Ok?” It seems she really doesn’t want to talk to him.
“Ok, I guess I’ll see you around, Gwen. Oh, and I’m Lewis, by the way.” He added.
“Nice to meet you, bye.” She seems to hate him, but she’ll soon know who he is.
Lewis took a seat on the now empty bench, he glared at her as she left, her legs were long and thick in such a sexy way. He smiled as he lay back on the bench.
“Oh, Gwen, you’ll feel so silly tomorrow…” He’s going to call her to his office tomorrow. He likes her, she doesn’t seem to like him much, but he’ll change her mind. He likes it when a lady plays hard to get.
He’ll need to ask her what she does, if she’s going to become his assistant, he must make sure she’s qualified.
It seems he has found his new assistant, a tall, sexy lady. The thing is, should he aim high? His life will truly change soon enough. In a while, but time will rapidly pass by…
