For many of us with ADHD (or other conditions) it can be difficult to feel proud of things we have done... things that for many other people we'd absolutely celebrate. So why is it that we struggle to celebrate it for ourselves? In this video I talk about internalized ableism and how it can get in the way.

Took me 15 years to get my bachelor's degree in mathematics. I choose math because it was easier than writing a paper. I did not know I had ADHD Innattentive. I have been teaching for 20 years and I am finally getting the help I need.

I should have watched this all the way through when I started it last week! 😉 Seriously though, when I was in community college, I wouldn’t have known what accommodations to ask for. Even once I learned about my ADHD, I didn’t recognize reasonable accommodations I could have benefited from at work. I just watched your camping video and desperately need to encorporate those concepts into my mindset and life.
