I'm looking at the Wiki which contains a list of his world tours, and it seems there were only 4 major tours during his career, and that otherwise, live performances were few & far between (take w/ a grain of salt bc I've only spent two minutes looking into this). But if true, it does feel noteworthy that he played Madison Sq Garden the night before Sept. 11th, and I believe this was some sort of standalone engagement, contrary to a part of a larger tour. Also worth mentioning is the fact that he organized that tribute track & then put on a jingoistic benefit concert for victims on 10/21 called "United We Stand"...
