I agree that's it's yet another great chapter! And if Tinkers with CONT modifier get to carry over their tech - I guess Armsmaster became even more unbeatable :-( But still, to be honest I'm hoping the next chapter will be the last one about the Merchants - while they've been great, in universe it's just one single evening.

You're right, that did read a little weird. I was mentally considering that between most of an hour to try and heal, and the complete lack of an enemy racer, that it wouldn't be an issue by that stage - but I never really put that explicitly into text. I've added a few words in to try and cover it.

Awesome chapter. I'm a bit confused how Greg ran that first race on his stump leg without bleeding out, though.

Great! Good progress. Hilarious to watch Greg properly reason himself out of pointless ultraviolence to random gangbangers only to immediately jump back to ultraviolence against a hard target just because being around Sophia jazzed him up. I'm enjoying the general characterization of everyone as per usual but my biggest complaint is that we didn't get more of best-worst girl beside her surreptitiously helping Greg out. It will be funny if she's totally beside herself with horror when he's not there... only for him to show up and do mayhem. There truly is too large of a stable of best girls in this story, full to bursting practically. I also can't help but picture Mush as basically being physically reminiscent of Taylor... which might lead to comedy in and of itself down the road.
