since you were surprised she even performed at an award show, she actually wasn’t as big as she was back then specially after her reputation comeback, like yea she did a stadium tour but even then it was only like 50 shows total meanwhile the eras tour was 154 shows (over 50 dates was JUST the US) — and the eras tour had 2,321% increase in resale value tickets (aka more demand regardless of having tripled the amount of dates) also as she talked about in miss americana, she truly believed that upon making the lover era and turning 30, the people would get tired of her and so that’s why she went all out for the music videos to hold on to that attention but only planned for 4 US tour dates for lover (aka the song mirrorball) because she felt that her time in the spotlight was over little did she know that folklore and evermore and the re-records would lead to the eras tour and her not only growing but EXPANDING her level of success
