🕑 Added 2025-02-24 17:00:04 +0000 UTCI've been abusing the heck out of my micron pens lately, particularly for studies. I feel like drawing without an undersketch that can be erased or adjusted has been a helpful exercise, plus the hatching is very satisfying to draw lol

In my experience you can't go wrong with drawing from life (and photos); as far as learning techniques go I'd highly recommend Tracy J Butler's tutorials on her Lackadaisy website, and Aaron Blaise (director of Brother Bear) has a youtube channel full of free content and a website with paid courses :)

I know it's full of AI crap nowadays but it's still the best resource I know of for just "here's some photos of stuff our robots think you'll like" so I keep going back :')
