right exactly!! i think the way their relationship is currently they’re both unwilling to make a move bc of their past but with this “”reset”” it might be the catalyst they need to work some things out. i’m so happy this could inspire you! i do have a vague idea on how this would pan out but i wasn’t sure if i’d have the willpower to finish it, but it makes me rly happy to know you see the vision hahah 🫶🏻 if you write a fic on this i’d love to read it too!

I can't not come back to your patreon after seeing this on twitter. Holy shit. For real, it inspired an entire fic idea. I immediately sat down and started writing. Edit: I keep hitting enter to get a new line and it submits the comment. Ugh. Basically every part of this screams of tragedy but also opportunity. I have a feeling that if Alhaitham forgot about his current relationship with Kaveh and had to live with him he would treat him differently. Or at least with the same level of care as everyone else, but plus some, because he knows that he wouldn't have made that decision without some kind of extraordinary circumstance. So he gives Kaveh this fresh opportunity. He realizes quickly the amount of guilt and selflessness Kaveh has. But also struggles with understanding the relationship they had, because it WAS complicated. But I wrote out a little part of a fic where he comes to the conclusion that they had to be at least somewhat romantically involved. Beacuse it doesn't take a genius to figure that out. But Kaveh denies that being the case. If not that then what? Such a mystery.
